This evidence-based and well-received workshop is designed for faculty to develop skills and insight in mentoring postdocs and graduate students and to provide the opportunity for interactions and discussion between mentors at different institutions and in different disciplines.
This workshop has been revamped into 3 sessions specifically for on-line teaching, break-out discussions and interaction:

  2. Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1:00 – 3:00:  Topics: Aligning expectations, Fostering independence
  3. Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1:00 – 3:00:  Topics: Cultivating self-efficacy, Addressing equity & inclusion; Close

Participants will receive certificates after completion. In most cases, this evidence-based workshop satisfies departmental and T32 requirements.

Please register for this workshop by Nov. 25.

We ask that you commit to all three sessions.  There will be about 15 minutes of pre-work/reading prior to each session. We will use your input and feedback to design future on-line mentor training workshops. Thank you!
